Poor little Elisabeth

This past Sunday Elisabeth took a tumble out of the kitchen chair and busted her chin.  We had to take a trip to the ER to have it fixed.  Unfortunately it was too deep to use Dermabond (super glue for skin) so they had to put stitches in.  Amazingly she sat perfectly still while they numbed it and stitched it up.  Boy did that make it easier for us!   She is doing fine and should get her stitches out tomorrow afternoon.  Hopefully that will go smoothly as well.  I'm hoping this will be the last visit to the ER for a long long time!

Waiting for the doctor to come and make her chin all better

She thinks it's funny that she has whiskers  :-)

Our crazy dog

We laugh at our dog, Belle, all the time.  She is only 1 1/2 years old so still a puppy and very goofy.  We just never know what she's going to do next.   I love Labs!

Belle playing in Elisabeth's little pool.  She loves to splash and try and catch the water in her mouth.  Very entertaining to watch.

Why does she have to sit in the sandbox?  I have even tried duct taping the lid down and she pulls the duct tape off!  I've given up.

Catching bubbles.  She thinks it's the greatest thing.  Again, very entertaining to watch.

Packing

We finally started packing.  We packed up 2 boxes this weekend......aren't you proud?  (for those of you that don't know...we are moving.  Staying in the same town, just a different house)

Hey!  Get back in there!

What!?   You mean I can't pack up the children this early?

Camping in Asheville, NC during Spring Break

Gem mining near Hendersonville, NC
The kids loved it!

Searching for treasures

Doesn't Ron look cute in his gem mining hat that Elisabeth made him wear?

The guy at the mining place sat down with the kids and told them what each rock was and answered all the questions they had about everything.  It was a nice touch.

Have you ever seen a groundhog in it's natural wild habitat?  I haven't.  This groundhog lived in the grass and brush near where we were camping.

Easter Fun

Ansley and her friend Gracie at our neighborhood Easter egg hunt

Getting ready for the afternoon Easter egg hunt in our yard

Picking them up as fast as she can.  We had to tell her to slow down and let her sister get some!

Tricky, tricky.   John hid this pink egg in the tree.  It took a while for Ansley to find it.

Oh.....there it is!
