Strawberry Festival

We attended the First Annual Fort Mill Strawberry Festival last weekend.   Fort Mill Strawberries are so delicious!  I love this time of year.  We were too busy with packing and stuff to go and pick our own so I had to buy them at the local market instead.  Anyway......we took a break from packing last weekend and took the girls to the festival so they could get out of the house a bit.  It was a nice day and the kids had fun.  There were lots of vendors, music, food and entertainment for the kids.   We'll definitely go back again next year!

Ansley and Elisabeth inside an ambulance learning what they do when they take a patient to the hospital.  Elisabeth enjoyed it......she likes all things medical.

The girls with Dr. Know.    He was goofy but the kids loved him and he made them laugh.  He told them lots of things they needed to do in order to stay healthy.

Ansley with the South Carolina Bank and Trust dog.  Elisabeth was scared to death of him!

We had to pose.....it is the Strawberry Festival for goodness sake!

The girls had their faces painted.  It's candy......their eye is a lollipop and then lots of other candy pieces painted around their face.  They thought it was so cool.

The ladder firetruck was there displaying the American Flag.  They usually do this at the fire station on 9/11 and I always think it is so neat.

Ansley doing the reverse bungee thing.  She loves doing this.

They had pig races but we missed them.  Now that is something I would have like to have seen!  We did get to stick our hands in and pet them though.   They were so cute!

Field Day 2010

Friday, April 30th was Field Day at the elementary school.  Elisabeth and I always go to take pictures and Elisabeth even gets to participate in some of the events.  She thinks it's alot of fun!  It was kind of sad this year because Ansley will be going to a different school next year and her good friends will be left behind.  It made me sad as I watched them interact and goof off with each other.  :-(

Ansley running one of the relay races

Passing a soaking wet sponge over their heads in a race.  It was hot so the water felt good!

Even Elisabeth got to participate in the sponge relay.  She thought it was so funny to get soaking wet!

The noodle relay.  You couldn't use your hands to hold onto the noodle.

And they're down.......

Ansley anxiously waiting on Bella to squeeze water into the bottle

Bella getting more water on Ansley's head than in the bottle

Ansley and her good friend Bella.  Ansley is going to miss her when she moves to the new school  :-(

Playing with the parachute

The girls had to run under and back out.  Elisabeth loves playing with the parachute.

Playing tag where they have to grab each other's scarf out of their pocket to "tag" each other

Pull Ansley Pull!

Come on girls.....don't let the boys beat you!
