A White Christmas

I've never ever had a white Christmas in the South until this year.   It started snowing during the evening on Christmas Day and when we woke up the next morning there was snow everywhere!  :-)   It was only a few inches but it was enough to play in.  What a nice Christmas present!

 I woke up early and went out and took pictures before every one woke up.  I like to get some good pictures before everyone puts their footprints all over the yard!

 Scott just threw a snowball at Elisabeth and hit her right in the face.  Oh my goodness......she was NOT happy.

Merry Christmas!

 On Christmas Eve Santa came by on a fire truck throwing candy to the kids.  There were 3 firetrucks with their lights on.  Santa was on the last one.  The kids loved it!

 It was dusk so the picture didn't turn out that well but hopefully you can see Santa standing on the truck.

 Elisabeth got dental tools from Santa.  She loves going  to the dentist, checks out books from the library about dentists and plays dentist all the time.  Now she has to tools to play with.  Her victim....I mean patient.... is Uncle Scott.  He looks thrilled doesn't he?

Louise working hard to put together the 1000 piece crazy frustrating puzzle that I bought.  It might take us forever to put it together.  If I ever get it finished I will post a picture here.

4th grade Christmas program

The month of December flew by and I got way behind in posting pictures.  I'm trying to get caught up!  In mid-December the 4th grade at Ansley's school did a Christmas program.......it was really cute!  They did a great job!  Here are a few pictures from that night...

Afterwards they had a holiday book fair, hot cider and cookies and Santa.  It was a fun night!

Christmas in Charleston

 After the wedding reception we took the girls through the Festival of Lights at James Island County Park.  Here are just a few of our favorites.  It's a great place at Christmas!

Ansley and Elisabeth were in the Christmas parade this weekend.  In the 15 years that we've lived here we've never been to the Christmas parade!  We are usually in the mountains the 1st weekend in December getting our Christmas tree so we have always missed the parade.  But this year Ansley's Girl Scout Troop was in the parade so we couldn't pass up the opportunity for her to be in it.  Elisabeth (a Daisy Scout) got to walk with them also.  They thought it was GREAT!  It was fun but it was VERY cold that morning.  After standing out in the 35 degree weather for 2 hours I was ready to come home to some hot tea and sit by the fire!  Thank goodness the rain held off and it didn't start to drizzle until about an hour after the parade ended.    After the parade we went to a local tree lot and got our Christmas tree.  It was a fun Christmas weekend!  :-)
