Happy 5th Birthday!

Today was Elisabeth's 5th birthday.   I can't believe she's 5 already!  She had ice cream for breakfast and then later in the day we went and painted pottery,  had ice cream again at the Peach Stand and then went to dinner at Red Bowl.  It's one of her favorite restaurants.  All in all it was a fun day.   Happy Birthday Elisabeth!

The day started out with ice cream for breakfast

Yum!

One of the birthday cards Elisabeth received.  It was right up her alley.
She decided step# 5 sounded like a good thing to do.......see picture below.

She received a pack of Skittles in the mail.  Thanks Sheryl and Mario!

Her new scooter

We spent the afternoon at the local pottery studio painting our own pottery.  She loves doing this!

My pottery looks good enough to eat!

Ansley painting her mug

Ansley painted a scene on her mug......it's a person walking dogs on nice blue sky kind of day.

She wrote her name and date on the bottom and even wrote Happy Birthday EE so we would remember why we painted it that day.  Good idea Ansley!

All of today's festivities wore her out!

A Surprise Visitor

We walked out our front door one morning and found this beautiful moth.  It stayed around for a few days.  We've never seen one this big so we thought it was pretty cool!

Birthday Sleep Over Party

First off let me just say.......we survived! It was loud and I had to threaten them to go to sleep at 1 am but all in all they were good and they all had a good time.  They played Twister, sang Karaoke, decorated pillow cases, watched a movie and went swimming.  John and I are exhausted!

Eating pizza and hangin' out

Playing a game of Twister

Karaoke time

Decorating pillowcases

Wearing them out at the pool before sending them home

Happy 9th Birthday Ansley!

The day started out with ice cream for breakfast.  It's the only day they are allowed to do this!

Happy Birthday Ansley!

Ansley's birthday present from us.  It's a very comfy chair!  There might be some fights over who is going to sit in it!

After lunch we headed over the local Nail Salon to have the girls nails done.  Ansley got a pedicure and paint and Elisabeth just got hers painted.

Pretty toes with cute designs on the big toe

Designs on their thumbs.  Next time I'm getting mine done too.  Mine look so boring compared to theirs!

Summer Fun

The girls made stepping stones the other day and it was so hot outside that they started playing in the water with their clothes on.  They were completely soaked!   Then we brought out the little plastic pool and the dog and the kids played in the water.  They had a great time!  This summer is going by very fast.  We've been busy unpacking and organizing and rearranging and doing projects around the house.  The kids have had lots of sleepovers at the new house and we've been to the pool alot too.  We love living 7 houses down from the community pool!  It's hard to believe there are only 5 or 6 weeks left before they go back to school.  Time flies by so fast sometimes!

That's one way to cool off........sticking your head in a bucket full of water!

Sea World

Ansley, Elisabeth and Nana with Shamu

The Dolphin show was the best in my opinion.

They are such cool creatures.  I could watch them for hours.  One day I'm gonna swim with them.  It's on my bucket list.  :-)

Ansley petting and feeding the Sting Rays.   You hold shrimp in your fingers at the bottom and they come by and eat them out of your hand.   A very strange feeling.......but neat.

Heading into the Manatee exhibit.

Such strange looking creatures.  Doesn't he look sweet?

This was Elisabeth's favorite show.  Very corny but cute.

The Orca Whale show.  It was good but a very short show. I was a little disappointed.  However, they are such beautiful animals!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We spent the 4th of July at home this year.  We went shopping for a little while this afternoon, cooked out and ate outside on the deck and then sat at the end of the driveway and watched the fireworks all around us.  It was great!

Aaahhh......summer nights of playing Pretty Pretty Princess on the front porch and eating popsicles.  :-)
